"Why get involved with conferences?" Part Four

This is the fourth post in a series answering the question: "Why get involved with conferences?"

Here are parts one, two, and three.

Today, let's talk about conference booths.

Let's be honest. Some people love having a booth at a conference. Other people absolutely hate doing them.

Regardless of which side of the argument you fall on, here are some benefits of hosting a booth at a conference:

  • Convenience: you're giving your current and future customers an easy way to find you at the show.
  • Visibility: a booth is an excellent way for new potential customers to find you
  • Relevance: not showing up at the big conference can signal that your business is no longer relevant (going out of business, refocusing away from the industry, etc.). Hungry competitors can take this opportunity to magnify this signal.

Over the next few days, I'll share some actionable ideas to maximize your conference booth investment.
