You Can’t Improve If You Don’t Know Why They Left
When a client leaves, you probably ask the account manager why.
That’s fine. Just know you’re likely not getting the full story.
AMs aren’t lying. They’re human. No one wants to admit, “I dropped the ball.”
So you hear:
“They went in-house.”
“Not a good fit.”
Clean. Safe. Incomplete.
If you want the truth, go straight to the source.
Founder-to-founder. Quick call. Ask for brutal honesty. Incentivize if needed.
The truth can sting. But it’s the only way to get better.
