How many leads do you need?

Your funnel math is lying to you.

Tony wanted to grow by $50K in MRR.
So he set a goal: 2 new HVAC clients per month.

Totally reasonable… until we reverse-engineered the math.

He was getting:

→ 2 HVAC leads/month
→ 1 opportunity/month
→ 0 clients/month

That’s not a funnel.

That’s a drip.

Here’s the math we built instead:
🎯 $50K in MRR = ~15 new clients
🔁 To close 15 clients, he needs ~60 sales calls
👀 To get 60 calls, he needs ~240 warm leads
📩 To get 240 warm leads, he needs a consistent nurture engine, not “post and pray” tactics

The math wasn’t broken.

It just wasn’t being done.

This happens all the time.

Most founders set sales goals with optimism, not data.
They say: “We’ll just do more.”
More content. More outreach. More activity.

But without a working funnel model, “more” just leads to burnout.

Here’s what top agency founders do differently:

1️⃣ They start with revenue targets, not vague intentions
2️⃣ They work backward from real sales conversion rates
3️⃣ They build content and outreach to fill the math, not just the feed

Here’s the thing…

If you’re not reverse-engineering your goals, you're not building a strategy.

You’re rolling the dice and hoping for rain.

So, how many leads do you need this quarter to hit your revenue goal?
